Dr. David Docusen has spent twenty-five years investing into communities as an author, speaker, professor, and advocate. His doctoral work focused on creating a holistic community development framework that has been implemented in cities around the world.

David is the author of Neighborliness (Harper Collins), which has inspired communities to engage their community and cross dividing lines of race, economics, politics, and religion. 

David serves on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity and is one of the founders of Freedom Communities, a holistic community development organization in Charlotte, North Carolina.

CHRIS RAMOS

Chris Ramos brings over a decade of non-profit management and systems design experience to the Neighborliness Center where he oversees operations, development, and organizational management. 

Chris previously served as Director of Reporting at Polis Institute, which included the evaluation of a 100-million dollar community revitalization effort in Central Florida. He specializes in measuring impact of complex initiatives and organizational team building. 

His previous career as a collegiate basketball coach developed a passion for unifying diverse stakeholders in pursuit of common goals. Chris is dedicated to bringing best practices and real-world solutions to organizations serving marginalized communities.
